Performance Guidelines

A. Keep full strength catalyst levels between 1.0% – 3.0% of the total resin weight. B. Maintain shop temperatures between 65°F/18°C and 90°F/32°C and humidity between 40% and 90%. Consistent shop conditions contribute to consistent gel times and will help the fabricator make a high-quality part.

Storage Stability

To maintain optimal stability, it is recommended to store resins in their original containers, protected from direct sunlight, and at temperatures not exceeding 25°C/77°F for up to three months from the production date. However, under hot climatic conditions, stability is no more than two months at 30°C/86°F. Extended storage may lead to variations in gel time and viscosity. Caution should be exercised when considering alternative storage methods, such as in plastic totes, as these may expedite gel formation and result in significantly decreased storage stability. When stored outdoors, the storage stability may be further diminished to just a few weeks, and Revex cannot accept responsibility for any gel formation occurring under these conditions. For Indian Subcontinent – 3 Months Shelf Life For other countries – 6 months Shelf Life Considering the above storage conditions are adhered to.

Notes

The pot life durations provided in this technical sheet are general guidelines, but they can vary due to factors like catalyst, promoter, inhibitor levels, and temperature conditions. Different batches of catalysts and extremely high humidity levels may also lead to variations in gelling behavior. The presence of pigments and fillers can either slow down or speed up the gelation process. To ensure optimal results, we advise users to conduct a preliminary test using a small resin sample in real operating conditions to assess its specific gelling characteristics before bulk use.
